TrendsConnector for Muse

Connect TrendsConnector to Meta Muse by asking for a custom connector in chat. Live trend data inside Muse conversations.

Muse, Meta's assistant, has no settings form for custom connectors. You ask in a chat instead: Muse builds a Custom Connector from a public MCP server URL, tests the tools, and saves the integration as a reusable skill. Every series comes back on a shared 0 to 100 index, so one answer can compare Google, YouTube, TikTok, Amazon and the rest without a per platform account, scraper or API key.

Connect in 3 steps

  1. Get a free TrendsConnector API key. 100 requests a month, no credit card.
  2. In any Muse chat, ask Muse to create a Custom Connector named TrendsConnector at https://trendsconnector.com/mcp.
  3. Approve the sign in with your TrendsConnector key when Muse shows it. Muse tests the tools and saves the connector, and you can ask a trend question in the same chat.

Paste into a Muse chat

Create a Custom Connector named TrendsConnector. Its MCP server is https://trendsconnector.com/mcp and it signs in with an API key I will provide. Connect, list the tools it gives you, and confirm they work.

What you can pull

History and growth return weekly points on a 0 to 100 index, with absolute volume where the source provides it. Growth can compare several windows and several sources in one call. Live boards return the current ranked list with no keyword at all. Popular starting points:

Good to know

Custom connectors run from Meta's cloud, so the server must be a public HTTPS address, which the hosted TrendsConnector endpoint already is. Local servers on your own machine cannot be reached. Meta does not review custom connectors, so only connect services you trust.

TrendsConnector returns trend data: history, growth and live boards on a normalized scale. It is not a scraper, and it does not return raw posts, videos, listings or personal data. The full client setup reference, including copy paste config for every supported client, is in the docs connect guide.

Questions

Why is there no URL field in Muse Settings?

Settings, Connectors lists Meta's built in connectors only. Custom connectors are created by asking in a chat, and Muse guides the rest of the process.

Does the connector persist between chats?

Yes. Once Muse builds and saves it as a skill, it stays available in later conversations until you remove it.

Is TrendsConnector free in Muse?

Yes, to start. The Free plan includes 100 requests a month, every data source, and both MCP and API access, with no credit card. Paid plans (Starter $19, Pro $49, Business $199 a month) raise the request limit and history depth. Annual billing saves 20 percent.

Which sources can I query once this is connected?

Every source on the same key: Google Trends, Google Shopping, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Amazon, Wikipedia, news, app, Steam, npm, PyPI, X, Spotify, GitHub, IMDb, Open Library, Substack and web traffic series, plus the live ranked boards. Ask for up to five years of weekly history or growth over windows such as 3M, 12M and YTD.

Do I need a separate key for each client?

No. One TrendsConnector key works in every client and as a Bearer token for direct REST calls. Register it in each client you use.
